What is the working principle of the abrasion tester?

The abrasion resistance testing machine is used for abrasion resistance testing of leather, cloth, paint, paper, floor tiles, plywood, glass, natural rubber, etc. The working principle is to use a specific type of grinding wheel to wear the test piece under a certain load, and to evaluate the wear resistance characteristics of the test piece by the weight lost after the test piece is worn for a fixed number of turns. Wear-resistant materials are judged by visual inspection of surface scratches.

Preparation before using the wear resistance tester
1) Turn on the power and set the "Power" switch to the "On" position.
a. Digital display:
At this time, the nixie tubes that display the output voltage, leakage current and time and the indicators of each "test unit" should be on.
b. Pointer type:
At this point, the "Power" light should be on.
2) Rotate the "Voltage Adjustment" knob counterclockwise to the end, and all indications are zero, then the instrument is in the initial state.
2 Description and setting of function keys for withstand voltage test
2.1 Alarm current setting
Select the alarm current range file according to the required alarm current value, press and hold the "leakage current test/preset" key, adjust the leakage current preset potentiometer, and at the same time observe that the displayed value in the leakage current display window reaches the required alarm value, stop adjusting Leakage current preset potentiometer, and then release the "leakage current test/preset" button, the leakage current setting is completed.
2.2 Timing setting
Set the "timing" key to the "on" position.
Note: When the "timing" key is in the "off" position, the timing is "∞".
a. Digital display:
According to the required test time, turn the value on the "timing" dial, and at the same time observe that when the displayed value in the test time window reaches the required test time value, stop turning the timer preset dial, and the timer setting is completed.
b. Pointer type:
According to the required test time, when rotating the "time timing" potentiometer to the required test time value, stop rotating the time timing potentiometer, and the timing setting is completed.
3) Output voltage setting
3.1 Select the output voltage type or range
a. digital display
Set the "Voltage Range" key to the desired range.
Note: If the selected test voltage is between 0 and 1500V, the button should be "popped";
If the selected test voltage is greater than 1500V, this key should be "pressed".
3.2 Output voltage setting
Press the "Start" button, turn the "Voltage Adjustment" knob clockwise according to the required test voltage, and observe that when the indicated value in the output voltage window reaches the required voltage value, stop turning the "Voltage Adjustment" knob and keep the "Voltage Adjustment" knob. The position remains unchanged, press the "reset" button, the test voltage setting is completed.
Note: In the subsequent testing process, if you do not change the test voltage, you only need to press the "Start" button for each test. To change the test voltage, repeat the above steps. The readings are as follows:
a. Digital display:
The output voltage value can be directly read from the "Voltage" display window of the instrument.
